Who doesn't love wine? Wine night.

I hosted a wine night. Our theme was white wine. I asked everyone to bring either a Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling or Pinot Grigio. The wine was placed in a brown paper bag to hide it's identity. Each bag was labeled with a number. This is also known as a "blind" wine tasting. Since there were so many of us I had three different wine stations. I provided information on how to taste the wine. Each person was given a tasting card to record their answer. I liked this method because it let people go at their own pace.

When we were finished tasting the wine I revealed each bottle one at a time. This allowed people to write down the type of wine and it's origin. The person with the most answers correct won a prize.

To avoid any hard feelings, everyone took home a wine cork key chain.

Monogrammed Canvas

Our California King bed does not have a headboard. I tried to figure out a creative way to take up space above our bed. I came up with this idea while searching for DIY headboards.

Supplies:

Three 12x12 canvas's
Tacky glue
Wood letters
Paint and paint brush
Three 12x12 scrapbook papers
Hardware to hang canvas's
Hammer and nails

Step 1: I painted the wood letters white.

Step 2: While the wooden letters were drying I glued scrapbook paper onto each canvas. I used tacky glue. To avoid bumps I rubbed the glue into the canvas.

Step 3: I glued the wood letters onto the canvas.

Step 4: I added hardware to the back of each canvas.

Here is the finished project. I think it looks good, but I wish I would have gone with a larger canvas. I might redo this or try to find something to go under them.

Flower canvas wall decor

I love creating canvas artwork. I usually buy blank canvas's from Jo Ann Fabrics. They are always 40% off. Occasionally I will purchase them at Michaels if their bulk canvas's are on sale.

I found mini flower pedals cheap at Michaels. I decided they would look good glued on a canvas. I used tacky glue to glue them down. I was almost done but I ran out of flowers. I am searching high and low at every Michaels to find more yellow flower pedals. Stay tuned for the end result. Sorry to keep you in suspense!

Craft storage

When we bought a house, my one request was to have a craft room. This is where I store my craft supplies. I love it!
